Blogging For Your Website
from: Deb St. George - MarketingSalesCopy.comIf you have a website for your business or if your website is your business, then you should have a blog too. A blog will drive traffic to your site and it can all be done for free. There are benefits to using this method to drive traffic to your site. One of those benefits is that you can get the word out to a target market. With a blog, a specific type of person or group of people is going to be looking at your blog. You can invite these folks to take a look at your website to drive traffic and potentially get sales from those visits.
It is important to make sure that you post regularly and update your blog posts. People don’t want to read the same thing over and over again so it is important to give them a constant update with new and fresh information. You want for your readers to come to trust you and in time they will, if you provide new information on a regular basis. One of the things that you can add to your blog is a feed burner. This will give your readers an option to have your blog sent to them on a regular basis so that they never miss an update. There are free and paid versions of this service. It all depends on the perks and benefits that you are looking for. Do a little research to find the one that fits your needs the most.
You can also add links to your blogs that lead to your other sites. A blog roll is a great idea to have so that you can widen the audience for your site. This enables readers from other blog sites to visit your site and get the word out just a little quicker. Another way to advertise with a blog is by linking back to your site as you are posting. When you are writing about some information that you read, you put that link onto your site for more information, have that link, link back to your site. This is the cheapest and easiest way to grab attention and get traffic to your site.
Use some of these strategies to drive traffic to your site. Blogging is the newest way to do this and it is catching on. Believe it or not, this is working for many people and could for you as well.
