It has been observed that websites that cater to everyone’s everyday needs, professional or personal have a better chance of being sighted by search engines. If your website has posts on food or entertainment or shopping, naturally the traffic generated will be high. Websites on travel are also interesting.
Make a post daily in a niche related to your web site adding a link to it. You can post comments on other’s blogs so that the blog visitor can reach your website through it. You can write an article or two on a topic related to your website and submit it to popular article directories. There are many directories where you can submit as many articles as possible. You can put a video on YouTube and drive traffic to your website. You can write a press release advertising your site so that traffic is diverted that way too.
Apart from these basic tips there are a number of ways in which a customer can be drawn to your website. You can start with a basic set up and move on to more complex ideas once regular traffic starts moving your way.
