Internet Marketing

There are various tools that you can use to enhance your Internet marketing business and many of them are either free or at least free to try. We’ll look at some of the options here:

Free Keyword Tools

Although many Internet marketers purchase subscriptions to keyword lists, the beginning Internet marketer can benefit from one or more free keyword tools offered on the Internet. Using this kind of tool, you enter a keyword into the keyword tool and you can get an estimate of how many searches have been done on that keyword as well as keywords related to that keyword. For example, if you enter the word “dog” into the free keyword tool, you’ll get back the number of estimated searches that were conducted for dog training, dog breeds, dog names, and many others. This can be a valuable tool for the beginning Internet marketer to use when choosing a niche in which to market.

Google Alerts

Google has a lot of free tools that can help Internet marketers and this is just one of them. You can set a Google Alert for any term you choose. Some Internet marketers use this tool in order to be alerted through their email when their site or their name is mentioned anywhere online. This can be a valuable tool to gauge how often and where your site is mentioned. In addition, you can set Google Alerts so you can track when your competition’s site is mentioned as well.

Internet Marketing Courses

There are a variety of free Internet marketing courses floating around the Internet. Just sign up for them and they will pop into your email. Be aware, though, that virtually all of these free courses are coming from Internet marketers who want to sell you something down the road. Still, many of these courses contain valuable information for the beginning Internet marketer so it may be worth it to take a look.

Free Software

If you don’t already have a word processing program, you are probably going to need one for your Internet marketing business. Instead of running out and spending money, look for the free versions online. Some of these are actually quite good and if you don’t like one you can always try another. Also, look for free trial periods of many software applications. Being able to try before you buy could save you a lot of headaches down the road and some money too.
